The Corinium Museum is home to collections of objects related to Cirencester's history. Highlights include an Iron Age logboat which was found in the River Thames; a Roman mosaic pavement and the largest collection of Roman tombstones in Britain. Other displays describe life in Cirencester through time, from the 12th century, when it was a walled town and important market, through to present day. The Corinium Museum charts the history of Cirencester, from its beginnings as Roman Corinium to the modern day market town.

Chris Turner and Kate Haworth (Lead Surveyors) of Turner & Haworth Chartered Surveyors carried out an asbestos survey of the above property in Cirencester, Gloucestershire, this week. Asbestos was identified in several areas that were previously disturbed to make prior repairs; these include the kitchen and bathroom/wetroom walls where lath and plasterboard had been removed for renovations and refurbishment work. These are being taken down by the owners to make the necessary repairs.
